New Sci-Fi MMO RPG
Working Title : NEW HOPE

..couple of days ago started again to work on one of my old games.
Recently more inspired to forward my work after re-watching
shows like SGU, The expanse & Battlestar Galactica also movies like Passenger.
I come from many years immersed into Anarchy-Online and Neocron
replaying Mass effect series one to many times,
still waiting for that great sci-fi or cyberpunk MMO game.
This is one of my visions,
lets get started with letting you have some background white noise,
as you read trough the overview of New Hope.
Its 2042, the aftermath of 5 years battling, the catastrophic events
that led our asteroid belt becoming like a slingshot bombarding earth,
every attempt to counteract has failed, humankind will not survive living on earth.
Earlier thousands has fled trough the aid of SpaceX and heads out into uncertainty.
The Millions unfortunate survivors that remains, face the total destruction of life as we know it.
Over every major populated area, all at once
thundering metallic roars echoes as whales in the skies
as several types of gigantic spaceships appears,
broadcasting on every bandwidth, radio and signal types
also trough what seems like omni present speakers,
"This is your final chance" "There is new hope" "Board our dropships for salvation"
Repeated over and over again in every known mankind languages
as countless seemingly unmanned dropships landing everywhere.
As the bay doors open big screens directs everyone in simple symbolism
to help fill every seat, hold bars and lean back then exit to await next ship.
At a fast glance seems to fits any human,
as if it would be any regular amusement park ride.
A timer countdown from 10 min to next liftoff.
Any that entered and sits down, 1 min into flight back up blacks out.
That was the intro, a month later, the game begins.
The begins with leading you to be one of the lasts survivors of earth.
You may choose your appearance as you see fit, every ethnicity, shape or form.
Extensive facial and coloring but only shown in white simple cloth clothes.
There is an multilayered choosing of crafts and talents, but not a specific role.
Certain amount of points into a long listing
ranging from hacking, engineering to imagination and intellect.
You go also trough a profiling on personality and alignment,
basically determine what kind of person you where in life.
You enter your name, welcome to new hope
The center main command ship of 6 others.
As you being woken up, greeted by the current progress & news of your fellow players.
Into a new micro human economy, rules and regulations and assigned to a room, dorm etc
depending on how you did on your creation of the character.
Also set of credits, favors and status to live and thrive within your community.
You may only have one player per game account, and its perma death.
How ever with ingame credits / favors or real money can grant you a Rebinding,
which is a new blank slate and reset of your existence.
Game is thought to be accessible on multiplatforms, range from FPV to mobile strategy.
While your own progressive story begins, the personal journey
all from who are they and where are we going,
there is countless activities, studies, work and assignments to be done.
Part from general game each ships has a ongoing release of extra leisure to enjoy.
All from ingame broadcasting and political interaction to virtual gambling and markets.
You get to know really fast that there is only humans here,
everything seems to be automated and controlled by highly self aware Ai.
Offering you every chance to learn a new role or profession
while mostly freely take part of everyday life and activities on the ship.
You take part in what ever peeks your interest and start gain experience/credits/status etc
Learn from scratch who ever they are: technology/language/culture/engineering/science etc etc
Could be study and keep up with your own physiology and health
to learn new talents that could be applied to other players or there work.
Beside your own development, the environment has many progressive goals
that needs to be fulfilled and meet, just not only for you own survival and ships maintenance,
but also unlock other events, progress, tech and quest etc
The collaboration and symmetry as a whole is important and will be reflected
in anything you do or do not do during your stay.
The environment and things will change accordingly.
To uphold your own security and welfare, a sens of order and stability
there is player council based decisions to be made all the time,
either by general vote or trough meetings.
During your travels all ships have regular events going by,
easily checked by your own ingame terminal or smartphone.
They range from stopping for fuel, mineral mining, planet explorations etc
Each event you need to have a set of talents and skills to take part in,
for example mining is done by taking control of a droid remotely,
flying it into nearby asteroids and collect materials.
To every society there is an underbelly and underground,
always a flip side to the good. Humans never learn.
You may perhaps as a rogue miner start to sell your quota
trough the darkweb for exchange of spice or drugs.
Perhaps as an engineer fabricate weapons and hacking tools
for cutthroat hackers to hack the system, cause revolutions etc
Someone hit your sister and some muscle need to be hired.
This is where status comes into play.
There is always consequence for your actions,
If you status becomes below what you current ship consider bad,
and you get caught being wanted, you will be deported to a lower tier ship.
If you how ever manage to excel and get outstanding record,
you may apply to transfer to higher tier ship.
There is currently 7 ships, 3 lower tier and 3 higher tiers.
Each ship has its own style and living. All with new pro's and con's
On lowest of tiers is anarchy, everyone for themselves,
either your king pin or you next to die. Full on world pvp.
Together exploring and living as you see fit,
there is a personal unique journey for everyone.
Who knows what awaits you on stage 2, when you get to your destination...
